Agents: an AI editor that cuts like you
Lumenwerk is now built around agents: your editing workflow as steps you set up once. Lumi builds them with you, Lumi Full Edit becomes a template.

Until now, Lumenwerk had one big AI run: Lumi took your recording and edited it from start to finish. It worked, but it edited every video the same way, no matter whose channel it was. But every editor has their own way of cutting, and a cut that is fine for everyone is nobody's cut. So we changed what Lumenwerk is. It is now an AI editor that cuts like you, built as agents.
What an agent is
An agent is your editing workflow, written down as steps. Your recording goes in at the top, the finished video comes out at the bottom, and in between are the steps you do on every video anyway. Each step is a real Lumenwerk tool, and each one has settings you choose.
- Clean up the take with Autocut: pauses, filler words, stutters, retakes. Add a note like "keep the pause before a punchline" and the AI check respects it.
- Fix the sound with Studio Sound, which runs entirely on your computer.
- Zooms, titles, keywords and subtitles, each with its own amount and its own instruction.
- Graphics built by Lumi Artist and placed in the timeline.
- Review points where the agent stops and waits for you to approve or send it back.
- Outputs: an MP4 rendered in your browser, subtitles as SRT, a chapter list, or a project file for DaVinci Resolve.
You set it up once. After that it runs on every video the same way you would do it, and you only touch the parts that need a creative decision.
Simple or Pro
Every agent has two views, switched in the top right corner. Simple shows a recipe: a list of steps from top to bottom. The order is the wiring, so you never connect anything by hand, and the transcript is added automatically as soon as a step needs it. Pro shows the same agent as a node graph on a canvas, like n8n, ComfyUI or the node pages in DaVinci Resolve, with branches, conditions and review loops. Both views edit the same agent, so nothing gets lost when you switch.
Lumi now builds agents
Lumi is no longer the editor itself. Lumi is the AI that builds agents with you. Describe in the chat how you cut, or paste a link to your YouTube channel, and Lumi derives a style from your latest long-form videos. Lumi suggests the steps, shows every change before it applies, and after a run it can check the agent and suggest what to improve. Chatting is free. Building and checking cost credits, and you see the price before anything runs.
Lumi Full Edit becomes a template
The old all-in-one run is still there, as the template Lumi Full Edit: Autocut cleans up the take, Lumi Architect plans the whole edit, Lumi Builder builds the graphics and places them. The difference is that you can now open it up. Switch off the parts you don't want, give each part its own instruction ("zooms only on numbers"), or add a review point so you approve the plan before anything gets built.
Other templates from Lumenwerk are a starting point too: Quick Clean, Talking Head Polish, Podcast to YouTube, Tutorial / Screen Recording and Approve the Plan. You can copy any of them, build your own from scratch with Lumi, or use agents other creators share with the community.
Try it on a short excerpt first
Before you run an agent on an hour of footage, run it on a short excerpt. The trial run shows on every step what it did, how long it took and what it cost, with a waveform and still frames of the result. The last full run stays on the canvas the same way, so you can see which step to change.
What stays the same
- Your footage stays with you. The video opens in your browser and is never uploaded. An agent runs in your browser tab; it can sit in the background, it just shouldn't be closed.
- The editor. Everything an agent does lands in a multitrack editor modeled on DaVinci Resolve, and every step can be changed or undone, agent runs included.
- Every tool on its own. You don't need an agent to remove pauses or add subtitles. The tools still work one by one.
- Export to DaVinci Resolve with subtitles as SRT. Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro are in beta.
Where it stands
Agents are experimental and come with the first beta in mid-November 2026. They run in our own tests today, with test footage, not yet with real creators on real channels. That is exactly what the beta is for. If you edit long-form video every week, join the waitlist and build your first agent with us.
