Auto ZoomAIBeta
Auto zoom for talking-head videos, on the words that matter
A zoom is emphasis, and it only works when most of the video runs without one. Auto Zoom lets an AI read your video and pick the moments an editor would: numbers, turns, takeaways, questions, lists and punchlines.
How it works
- 1
Open your video
Face detection runs locally in your browser, so the zoom aims at your face and keeps your framing.
- 2
The AI picks the moments
It reads the transcript and chooses where a zoom adds emphasis, in any language you speak.
- 3
Adjust and keep editing
Every zoom is a clip on its own lane in the timeline. Move it, delete it or change its strength.
What it does
- Content, not a timer
- Zooms follow what you say instead of a fixed interval, so they never feel robotic or predictable.
- Sharp at any resolution
- The maximum zoom follows your source resolution, so a 1080p recording does not turn soft.
- Hides jump cuts
- After Autocut, alternating framings make the cuts feel like a second camera.
Lumi runs this tool for you when it edits your whole video.
Questions
How does Auto Zoom decide where to zoom?
An AI reads the transcript and picks moments that carry emphasis: a number, a turn like "but", a takeaway, a question to the viewer, a list or a punchline. It keeps space between zooms and never stacks two in one sentence.
Is my video uploaded for face detection?
No. Face detection runs on your computer in the browser. Only the transcript text goes to the AI that picks the moments, and the video file never leaves your machine.
Can I change the zooms?
Yes. Every zoom lands as a clip on the zoom lane in the timeline. You can move, shorten, delete or add zooms by hand, and undo covers the whole AI run.
Do the zooms carry over to DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. Hard zooms export as cuts with a fixed scale, smooth zooms as keyframes, in the project file for DaVinci Resolve. Export to Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro is in beta.
