Studio Sound
Make a home recording sound like a studio
Studio Sound turns a voice recorded at home into a clean, even voice at the loudness YouTube expects. It runs completely in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and it costs nothing.
How it works
- 1
Open your recording
Video or audio, the file stays on your computer.
- 2
Pick a mode
Studio for the full chain, Clean to only remove noise and hum, or Level to only even out the volume.
- 3
Compare and export
Switch between before and after at the same loudness, then keep it in the timeline or export a WAV.
What it does
- Noise, hum and echo
- Removes room noise, 50/60 Hz hum, plosives and room echo while keeping quiet or distant voices clear.
- Even level
- A leveler brings quiet and loud passages together and never lifts the pauses between sentences.
- Ready for YouTube
- The result lands at −14 LUFS with a true-peak limit of −1 dBTP.
Lumi runs this tool for you when it edits your whole video.
Questions
Is Studio Sound really free?
Yes. Studio Sound runs on your computer inside the browser, so there are no API costs and it needs no credits. That stays true on every plan, including Free.
Does my audio get uploaded?
No. The whole processing chain runs locally in your browser. Studio Sound sends nothing at all, which also makes it safe for client recordings.
What is the difference between the three modes?
Studio runs the full chain: noise, hum, echo, EQ, de-essing, leveling and loudness. Clean only removes noise, hum and plosives and leaves level and tone alone. Level only evens out the volume.
What loudness does it aim for?
−14 LUFS integrated with a true-peak limit of −1 dBTP, which is what YouTube normalizes to. The level is measured after cleaning, so the target holds.
